Embry-Riddle's Department of Aeronautical Science has long provided a renowned education in aviation, with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics degree that is the preeminent program of its kind in the world, along with a B.S. in Aeronautical Science and a B.S. in Unmanned Aircraft Systems.
The department also offers several minors: Aeronautical Studies; Aviation Law; Flight; and Unmanned Aircraft Systems Applications.

Students should have a strong background in science and mathematics. Beyond that, they get invaluable instruction from experienced airline pilots, military pilots, Top Gun graduates, test pilots, and corporate and commuter pilots, along with aeronautical engineers, chief flight instructors and experts in flight safety, resource management, dispatching, navigation and other fields essential to success in an aviation career.
