Housing and Residence Life is comprised of full-time, professional staff members that are responsible for overseeing various areas within the department. The professional staff work together to create an engaging on-campus experience for students living in the residence halls.

Residence Life Coordinators

The Residence Life Coordinators (RLCs) are typically entry-level staff with a master's degree in student affairs, higher education, counseling, or a related field. Each RLC manages communities of 400-600 students and are specifically responsible for supervising Resident Advisors, Senior Resident Advisors, advising and mentoring students, responding to campus emergencies, and helping students become academically and socially successful.

Danielle Parker

Residence Life Coordinator – New Residence Hall 1

Danielle joined the Embry-Riddle team in July 2019, after completing her graduate work. In 2017, she graduated from worked at Carnegie Mellon University as a Graduate Coordinator for Housing Services and Residential Education. Now, Danielle oversees New Residence Hall 1 and advises the hall council located in New Residence Hall 1.

Kate Bussell

Residence Life Coordinator – New Residence Hall 2

Kate joined the Embry-Riddle team in June of 2018, shortly after completing their graduate work at the University of South Carolina. Kate graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. In 2018 they graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Master of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs as well as a Graduate Certificate in Women and Gender Studies. Kate oversees New Residence Hall 2.

Maelee Fleming 

Residence Life Coordinator – Adams Hall, Wood Hall, O’Connor Hall, and Stimpson Hall

Maelee joined the Embry-Riddle team in July of 2019. Before coming to Embry-Riddle, Maelee worked as a Graduate Hall Director at Texas A&M University, where she also completed a Master of Science in Educational Administration with an emphasis in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education in May of 2019. Maelee also earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from Western Kentucky University in 2017. Maelee oversees the Student Village.
