2022 Family Weekend at Daytona Beach

February 3-5, 2023

Family Weekend is for current Embry-Riddle students to share their on-campus experience and current projects with their families. During Family Weekend, you’ll have the opportunity to walk in your student’s footsteps, learn about resources to help them succeed and participate in family-friendly activities.

Discounted tickets for area attractions and theme parks will be available for online advanced purchase through our Recreational Sports Department starting in January 2023. Please check back for details and order instructions.

Schedule of Events

Day 1 - Friday, Feb. 3

Event Description Time
Check-In Check in to receive a detailed schedule of weekend events and a free gift for all pre-registered families. 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Fitness Complex Open House Family members have the opportunity to walk through the Fitness Complex at their leisure. All are welcome to use the pool; those who are 18 years or older are welcome to climb or work out. The climbing tower is open for limited hours. 9 a.m.-11 p.m.
College Student for a Day Family members have the opportunity to attend classes with their students at their professors' discretion. A detailed list of approved classes will be available closer to the event date. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Student Organization Activities Fair Come see what our active student organizations are doing on campus. 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Guided Walking Campus Tours A walking tour and brief overview of the Daytona Beach campus. Campus tour guides will highlight the different colleges within the University and focus on academic areas of interest. Each tour lasts approximately 30-60 minutes, rain or shine. Advanced tour registration required at clerck@erau.edu to secure your timeslot.
10 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m.
Campus Showcase Join representatives from across campus to explore and engage with the University's programs, initiatives, organizations and student services that support your student's success. Lunch will be provided to the first 350 participants.
11 a.m.-1 p.m.
ROTC Open House - Air Force Families and cadets welcome to come and take a tour of the detachment.
11 a.m.-Noon
ROTC Open House - Army 20-30 minute presentation on what Army ROTC (your Cadets) have done this semester. Cadets and parents can utilize the virtual rifle range.
Noon-1 p.m.
ROTC Open House - Navy Families and cadets welcome to come for a meet and greet with Capt. Medina and Lt. LaFevers.
1-2 p.m.
Skyline Social Music by WIKD 102.5, pub-style games and refreshments available for purchase in a relaxing atmosphere.
5-7 p.m.
Eagle Feud We've polled Embry-Riddle students, and survey says... it's time for Eagle Feud, starring you! Come watch or take part in our Embry-Riddle-themed "Family Feud" game show! Brought to you by Touch-N-Go Productions.
 

Day 2 - Saturday, Feb. 4

College Showcase Each college presents a full day of family friendly activities. 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Family Weekend Lunch Free lunch for families with musical entertainment. 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Flight Parents 101 Parent-to-parent program — Part B in continuation from Orientation 1:30-3 p.m.
Parent Ambassador Program Join us to learn more about the Parent Ambassador Program. Learn how you can support Embry-Riddle in your hometown by attending regional admissions presentations in the fall or accepted student receptions in the spring. Faculty and Staff recognitions will be presented as well. 3-3:30 p.m.
All-Parent Social Sponsored by Parent & Family Relations 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Dinner With Your Student Visit your students' favorite local restaurant or visit the All-You-Care-to-Eat Boundless Dining inside New Residence Hall 2.

Day 3 - Sunday, Feb. 5

Event Description Time
Free Day to Explore Daytona Beach and Orlando
Catholic Mass All families are welcome 7-8 p.m.
