All International undergraduate applicants who have any educational experience outside the United States may be required to provide an official evaluation in English including the cumulative grade-point average. High school students are required to have a document-by-document evaluation. Students with university credit are also required to have a course-by-course evaluation. Students who have not taken college courses or who have taken less than 30 hours of college coursework must submit an official high school transcript from all high schools attended.

Foreign credential evaluations are not needed for the following students: students who have attended an IB Program, students who have attended a high school with U.S. Regional Accreditation or students who have attended an American International School.

The evaluation must be certified by one of the Foreign Credential Evaluation Services (FCE) approved by Embry-Riddle. A fee is charged for the translation service and must be paid by the applicant directly to the FCE. The evaluation must include: US degree equivalency, GPA and a copy of the foreign transcript.

If a student has earned college credit (either transfer or advanced standing) that is indicated on the foreign credential evaluation as meeting the requirements for an undergraduate degree, it will be reviewed for applicability toward an ERAU degree.

Educational systems differ country by country. The following services are versed in providing a comparison of a country’s education system to the system in the United States. This comparison includes education levels, credits and grades.

The report is considered official only if mailed from the agency directly to ERAU. We accept evaluations from the following agencies: Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE), International Education Evaluations (IEE), International Education Research Foundation (IERF), Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute (ACEI), Josef Silny & Associates, World Education Services (WES) and Spantran. Admissions also reserves the right to accept foreign credential evaluations from current members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).

Next Steps After Admission

  • International students must pay a deposit of $200. This amount is applied directly to the student’s account and will be credited toward tuition.
  • Payment for tuition, fees, housing and meals are due by the established due dates each semester. Acceptable methods of payment are credit cards and checks issued by a U.S. bank and made payable to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
  • Other payment options are available through the student accounting department.

All students must complete a Medical Report Form and provide documented evidence of required immunizations for compliance with the University. The Medical Report Form will be completed in the Health Services Portal.

Questions on health requirements, including important immunization information, can be answered by Embry-Riddle Health Services.
