Discover Scholars

The Embry-Riddle Discover Scholars provides a pre-orientation program to help student ease into their lives on the Daytona Beach Campus. Additionally, the program provides ongoing support for the duration of the first year. 

Perks and Benefits

  • Pre-Orientation Event: Scholars will be invited to campus early to participate in a no-cost, three-day pre-orientation. During the program, scholars will participate in team-building activities and social events, and make connections with faculty and staff.
  • Living Learning Community: A chance to live with other scholars in Residence Hall 1, which features additional educational support and networking opportunities.
  • Social Outings & Events: Scholars will have the opportunity to participate in free team-building, social events and outings during the first year at Embry-Riddle.
  • Peer Mentored: Scholars will be paired with an upper-class peer mentor at the beginning of summer.
  • First Generation: Discovery Scholars First Generation will be invited to join the first-generation student group.
  • Research: Discovery Scholars will learn about research on the Daytona Beach Campus and how to get involved.
  • Employment Opportunities for Discover students through this organization.
