Setting Up Direct Deposit for an Authorized User (Parent PLUS Loans)

Instructions for the Parent/Borrower

In the FAFSA Parent Plus appplication, you must select "Me" for the Credit Balance Option, Question 11.

This notifies Embry-Riddle that appropriate refunds should be directed to your bank account.

Note: If parent is already set up as an Authorized User, skip to Step 4 below.

Instructions for the Student

Step 1: Sign in to ERNIE

• Navigate to ERNIE.
• Sign in using your account ID and password.
• Once logged in, navigate to Campus Solutions.

Step 2: Navigate to Your Student Account

• Launch Campus Solutions Student Homepage.
• Click the “Finances” tile. Note: If not already located under ERAU Tools, you can add it by personalizing the section.
• Select “My Student Account” on the left-hand menu.
• Under ERAU Account Access, click “Make a Payment - Access Account.” Note: If your student account page does not load after clicking, check to be sure your pop-up blocker is disabled.

Step 3: Authorize Your Parent or Borrower as an Authorized User

• Click on “Authorized Users.”
• Enter the same email address used in the StudentAid.gov application for the authorized user.

Step 4: Instructions for Parent/Borrower

• Once set up as an Authorized User, please click on the link sent to you for your “Access Information.” Please be sure to retain this link for future access.
• Ensure the following has been included in the eRefund profile of your Authorized User account.
• Borrower’s date of birth – will be verified against the Plus Loan application.
• The last four digits of the borrower’s social security number – will be verified against Plus Loan application.
• Current Refund Method reflects the correct bank account to receive the Parent Plus Loan refund via ACH.
• Please verify:
• The email address the borrower entered on the StudentAid.gov application matches the email address used to create your Authorized User account in the Student’s Finance page.
• Complete the Two-Step Verification Enrollment under Security Settings (you may receive a notification to do so when you add or edit your refund settings).
• If you, the borrower, already have an Authorized User account established, please access your account and verify the prior information. Inaccurate information will interfere with ACH processing and cause a delay in your refund.
