Composites, honeycombs, functionally graded materials, and truss-based cellular solids destined for use in aerospace applications are designed, fabricated, and tested in the Lightweight Materials and Structures Laboratory.
Student, faculty, and partner research projects are sustained by a variety of small scientific equipment and supplies, hand tools, chemicals, and work benches. The space also supports the aerospace engineering structures and instrumentation laboratory course.
Equipment
