The CERTS Lab conducts research in human factors, human performance, training, attentional allocation, fatigue, situation awareness, adaptive automative, virtual reality and intentional insensitivity.

The mission of the CERTS Lab is to enhance the interaction of personnel, technology and the environment in transportation systems through basic and applied research.

Research Capacity

The CERTS Lab has conducted studies on training and human factors through the use of its simulators' several biometric monitors.
