Meet Our Mentors

My name is Mila Eberly and I am a new member of the Women’s Ambassador Program! I am majoring in Aeronautical Science with minors in Airline Operations and Applied Meteorology, and I will be graduating with the class of 2026. I have always been surrounded by aviation as I have been traveling to and from South Africa since I was young as my family lives there! Traveling was my kickstart to wanting to be a pilot and so I began the process with a discovery flight in 2018. I did my private license training outside of Embry-Riddle flying the C-172 and PA-28i.  My ultimate goal is to become a Delta captain and live abroad! A fun fact about me is that before I wanted to be a pilot, I considered a career in music performance. I have been playing the viola for ten years and I also play the piano and guitar. I am looking forward to being a mentor and hearing all of your stories, aviation related or not! The transition to college can be difficult and I will be happy to answer any questions you have to help make the adjustment easier. I hope you enjoy your time at Embry-Riddle to the fullest!

My name is Becca Nordstrom and I am a junior here at Embry-Riddle. I transferred to Embry-Riddle during the summer semester of 2022 after completing my associates degree, and I am majoring in aeronautical science with a minor in applied meteorology. I am a member of several groups on campus including the Alpha Omicron Alpha aeronautical honor society, Women in Aviation, and I have an on-campus job in the student union. Outside of flying and campus involvement, I enjoy working out, film photography, and hanging out at the pool with friends. I started flying when I was young. I flew solo for the first time when I was 16, got my private pilots license when I was 17, and completed my instrument rating at Embry-Riddle last year. I am currently working towards my commercial pilot certificate. I have always had a passion for aviation, and I hope to share that passion with incoming students. I am very interested in the world of corporate aviation and I hope to fly for NetJets. I know how intimidating college and flight training can be, so I want to ease the transition in any way I can, especially for transfer students. Isabella Gianni is a junior at ERAU studying Aeronautics with minors in airline operations and aviation Safety. Isabella currently holds a Multi-engine commercial license and completed her instrument rating and commercial at riddle. Originally from New Zealand, Isabella grew up flying every year to see her family, during which she sparked an interest in flying. While gaining her pilot’s certificate in 11th grade, she convinced her dad to become a pilot as well. On campus, Isabella is involved in the Women in Aviation club and a member of the Women’s Ambassador mentoring Program and a member of the Daytona chapter of the Ninety-Nines. Isabella is also a current Delta co-op in flight operations Safety programs. She also has had internships with Textron aviation and Scenic Mountain air, a 135 operation in Alaska. Isabella enjoys seaplane flying and tailwheel back country flying. Isabella is looking forward to sharing aviation with her peers and what joy it can bring to people's lives.
