Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is dedicated to ensuring that its students have the resources they need to excel academically. Students who need academic assistance can receive free tutoring at times convenient to them at one of several labs on the Daytona Beach Campus.

College of Arts and Sciences

The Academic Advancement Center in the College of Arts and Sciences (COAS) building specializes in general education tutoring for students who need assistance in math, physics, chemistry, and writing. The Academic Advancement Center also offers the Tutoring Online Program, which specializes in 100- and 200-level mathematics, physics, and writing courses. Students can access TOP through ERNIE or student services.

Students who want to improve their writing skills can receive help from trained student tutors in the Writing Center located in COAS 104. Tutors work one-on-one with students, explaining weaknesses and offering advice about changes and corrections. Appointments are not required but are encouraged. Students can make an appointment at AskOnline.

The Mathematics Tutoring Lab is located in COAS 103, and is where students enrolled in 100- and 200-level mathematics courses can get assistance with coursework from a select group of undergraduate and graduate students. Supplemental instruction for some first-year courses is held two nights each week.

The Physics/Chemistry Tutor Lab is located in COAS 102 and offers free tutoring to students enrolled in physics and chemistry courses. The lab offers supplemental instruction for some first-year courses. These sessions are held in COAS 108, and hours vary by semester.
