Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is dedicated to ensuring that its students have the resources they need to excel academically. Students who need academic assistance can receive free tutoring at times convenient to them at one of several labs on the Daytona Beach Campus.

College of Arts and Sciences

The Academic Advancement Center in the College of Arts and Sciences (COAS) building specializes in general education tutoring for students who need assistance in math, physics, writing, engineering science (ES), Matlab, chemistry, and biology.

Students who want to improve their writing skills can receive help from trained student tutors in the Writing Center located in COAS 105. Tutors work one-on-one with students, explaining weaknesses and offering advice about changes and corrections. Appointments, though not required, are encouraged and can be made by calling 386-226-6638.

The Mathematics Tutoring Lab is located in COAS 103, and is where students enrolled in 100- and 200-level mathematics courses can get assistance with coursework from a select group of undergraduate and graduate students. Supplemental instruction (SI) is offered in the evenings.

The Physics Tutor Labing is located in COAS 102 and offers free tutoring to students enrolled in physics courses. The lab offers supplemental instruction (SI) and is offered in the evenings. Chemistry and Biology Tutoring is offered in COAS 128.0 along with supplemental instruction.

The Academic Advancement Center provides tutoring in Computing for Engineers (EGR-115), Statics (ES-201), Solid Mechanics (ES-202), Dynamics (ES-204), and Fluid Mechanics (ES-206). The Engineering Sciences (ES) and EGR-115 tutoring is available in COAS Room 104.
