Electrical Lab

The 1,700-square-foot Electricity Lab is equipped to support courses in both airframe and powerplant electrical systems.

AMS courses utilizing this lab are:

  • AMS 264 General Aviation Aircraft Electrical and Instrument Systems
  • AMS 272 Powerplant Electrical and Instrument Systems
  • AMS 366 Transport Category Aircraft Electrical and Instrument Systems

The lab is equipped to support electrical systems found on both general aviation and air transport aircraft. This includes training devices for wiring practices and electrical trouble-shooting. Specialized equipment includes a single engine DC alternator run stand with variable load capability and advanced trouble-shooting trainers.
