Planned Centers & Labs

Space Lab

Center for Unmanned and Autonomous Systems

  • Focusing on all aspects of unmanned systems, ranging from operational to design, development, construction, and testing
  • Significant focus on autonomous systems and autonomy — from remotely controlled systems to fully autonomous entities, including swarm technology
  • Development of processor, communications, network, airframe, and propulsion technologies
  • Airworthiness, certification, and integration in the national airspace

Center for Space and Atmospheric Research (CSAR)

  • Theoretical and experimental studies of the fundamental physics of planetary atmospheres and space environments, including the complex and highly coupled atmosphere, ionosphere, and magnetosphere (AIM) systems of earth and other planets utilizing our large telescope in ERAU’s new A&S building
