Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Student Scholarship consideration is given to all types of applicants — including freshmen, transfer, international and graduate students — who apply for admission, and who submit an international scholarship application. The scholarship decision is based on academic merit and demonstrated financial need.
All foreign citizens and Americans living abroad who apply for freshman admission are automatically considered for the Embry-Riddle Scholarship, created in honor of the University’s namesakes. An official score on the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) or the American College Test (ACT) is required for consideration. The amount of the award can be significant if the applicant scores well on either of these examinations.
Assistantships are open to accepted graduate students with full graduate status, who have a 3.0 undergraduate cumulative grade point average. A graduate assistantship is a contract between the student and the department sponsoring the assistantship position. Candidates will perform duties in the areas of teaching, administration or research, in exchange for a tuition waiver and/or stipend. For more information, contact the Office of International and Graduate Admissions.
Children of Alumni Legacy Grant
An annual grant of U.S. $1,500 is awarded to sons and daughters of Embry-Riddle alumni.
A grant of U.S. $2,200 is offered to each child of the same family simultaneously enrolled on a full-time basis.
All students are eligible for opportunities with companies that are leaders in their field. Further information about these opportunities — and the minimum criteria for eligibility — is available through the office of Career Services at either campus.
There are limited on-campus jobs, which become available to all students on a competitive basis. These positions are limited; however, all students are eligible to apply for them when they become available. Since on-campus jobs are not guaranteed, students should not include an on-campus job in their financial planning to cover the cost of attendance at the University.
