College of Engineering Graduate Research Projects
The pursuit of new knowledge underlies much of what is done in the College of Engineering. Students do research as a component of their coursework, as well as within interest groups and for student competition teams. Student research funding is made available through a variety of sources, including the student government association’s sanctioned student organizations, the Ignite program, department and college sponsorships, and external funding through faculty research grants and contracts.
Faculty perform cutting-edge research, frequently with undergraduate and graduate student assistance. Students and faculty both publish and present their results after rigorous review by peers so that others can share in their discoveries. External funding for research, and corresponding opportunities for research participation by students, increase every year. With state-of-the-art equipment, ample laboratory space and some of the leading engineering minds from industry and academia, the College of Engineering provides an excellent environment for research and innovation.
