Embry-Riddle began intercollegiate athletics competition on its Daytona Beach Campus in 1988 and has since transformed into a highly successful program that sponsors 15 intercollegiate sports teams, as well as coed cheerleading. Embry-Riddle fields teams in baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s track and field (indoor/outdoor), and women’s volleyball.

The centrally located Embry-Riddle Athletics Complex houses the Eagles’ home fields/courts. The ERAU Athletics teams also have access to additional practice facilities, including a multipurpose turf field and softball fields, running trail, and four Bermuda grass fields for intercollegiate and intramural activities.
The intercollegiate softball field is adjacent to Sliwa Stadium and is used by the women’s softball team. This lighted softball stadium features two large dugouts, a Bermuda grass outfield, bullpens, and a Daktronics scoreboard.
The intercollegiate soccer stadium, located behind the ICI Center, is a meticulously maintained soccer facility that has hosted nationally televised playing events. The stadium, home of the ERAU men’s and women’s soccer teams, is also the site of the ROTC’s annual year-end Pass In Review Ceremony and is used by the university’s coaches for summer camp programs.
The Ambassador E. William Crotty Tennis Complex is located north of the Sliwa Stadium and the ICI Center. This hard court features nine lighted tennis courts with an electronic scoreboard that can show set scores for six matches. Each court has bleachers for spectator seating and a newly installed shade structure for spectators on courts 1-6. The Crotty Tennis Complex is home to the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University men’s and women’s tennis teams and hosts many college and amateur tennis tournaments. Courts 1-6 are used for match play and team practices. Courts 7, 8, and 9 are available to students, faculty, and staff on a first-come, first-served basis — except during varsity matches and practices (usually held between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.). Lights automatically turn off at 11 p.m.
This NCAA-approved track and field facility is located in the University Sports Complex adjacent to the ROTC complex. The quarter-mile track features a top-of-the line Mondo surface, lights, and a seating area for spectators. The facility is used by ERAU’s intercollegiate men’s and women’s track and field teams, ROTC for physical training, and is available to students, faculty, and staff for walking and running during open recreation hours. When scheduling allows, the facility has been rented to outside organizations, including the British pre-Olympic team, Warner Christian High School, and the Daytona Beach Track Club.
Sliwa Stadium is located directly behind the ICI Center on the east side of campus and houses the University baseball field. It is a regulation-sized field used for intercollegiate competition games. This field serves as the home field for the ERAU baseball team.
