Meet The Housing Staff

Professional Full-Time Staff

The Director, along with the Associate and Assistant Directors, are full-time, professional staff members who each have a master’s degree in Higher Education and College Student Development, and have been trained to work with college students. These staff members are specifically responsible for supervising the R.A.s and R.D.s, advising and mentoring students, responding to campus emergencies and helping students become academically and socially successful. The administrative staff is available to assist with many issues, including billing, assignments and contracts. Maintenance staff members are available to help students in keeping the residence halls in good condition. Specifically, these staff members are available to resolve maintenance problems within and around the residence halls.

Residence Hall Student Staff

A Resident Advisor (R.A.) is assigned to each wing in the residence halls. R.A.s are student leaders who build community on their wings and assist their residents in becoming successful during their time in the residence halls. R.A.s serve as activity planners, peer counselors, policy enforcers, role models and friends for the students living in their areas. A Resident Director (R.D.) is responsible for each residential building. R.D.s are upper level undergraduate or graduate students with extensive experience as leaders and former R.A.s. They are responsible for supervising the R.A.s, and the overall operations of their residence halls.
