Embry-Riddle to Hold First-Ever Motorcycle Rally to Support Student Scholarships
Daytona Beach, FL, February 14, 2014
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is hosting the university’s inaugural “Rally for Riddle,” a motorcycle rally and ride supporting Embry-Riddle student scholarships.
The event, which is open to the public, will hit the highways on Saturday, March 29, and feature a cross-county route with a half-hour stop at Skydive DeLand before returning for a barbecue lunch at Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach Campus. Door prizes will be awarded during lunch, which will feature a live band.
“We see this as a great opportunity to combine a love of motorcycling, which many in our community share, with our passion for helping Embry-Riddle students,” said Jim Henderson, CEO of Assured Partners Inc. and Vice-Chair of the Embry-Riddle Board of Trustees, who is also a longtime motorcycle enthusiast and event sponsor. “We hope everyone will come out for a great day of riding and show their support for Embry-Riddle’s greatest asset — its students.”
Riders of all types, non-bikers and members of the media are invited to attend the event. All proceeds from the Rally for Riddle will go to the Board of Trustees scholarship fund, which awards scholarships to students from the university’s two residential campuses in Daytona Beach, Fla., and Prescott, Ariz.
