Embry-Riddle Daytona Beach Campus Selects New Director of Records & Registration

M.J. Caro has accepted the position of Director of Records & Registration at Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach campus and will begin her new duties Sept. 4, 2012.
“Ms. Caro is a student-oriented administrator who has directed admissions operations as well as serving as University Registrar at Florida Gulf Coast University,” said Dr. Robert Oxley, Associate Vice President for Academics at Embry-Riddle. “She is a technical expert, having worked for Ellucian to implement large student database systems. She also knows Embry-Riddle, having graduated from the Daytona Beach campus with a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Studies.”
In other experience, Caro was Assistant Director of Enrollment Services at Lehigh Carbon Community College and Director of Student Affairs at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
Beside her bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Studies, she also earned an A.S. in Aviation Management at Embry-Riddle. In the aviation field, she was a dispatcher and flight coordinator for 10 years. She holds a private pilot’s license.
Caro’s other degrees are an M.A. in Business Communication/Leadership and Influence from Jones International University and a B.A. in Advertising and Graphic Design/Art History from Moravian College.
The Records & Registration Department at Embry-Riddle maintains academic records, collects student documentation for academic and degree requirements, handles student academic and graduation evaluations, supervises course catalog publication and implements technology that supports student services.
