The American-Scandinavian Foundation

  • Open to most undergraduate majors
  • Award Range : $5,000 - $23,000
  • Eligible countries: Denmark, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Sweden
  • Candidates must be graduate students intending to carry out a research project in Scandinavia

Boren NSEP Scholarship

  • Open to most undergraduate majors
  • Award Range : $10,000 - $20,000
  • Must study in a location and/or language identified as critical to national security
  • Funded by the National Security Education Program

Bridging Scholarships for Study in Japan

  • Open to all undergraduate majors for semester/year abroad
  • Award range: $2,500 - $4,000
  • Countries eligible: Japan

DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship

  • Open to most undergraduate majors
  • Award range: $ 3,700 - $ 8,200
  • Countries eligible: Germany

DeSIRE2 Grant

  • Open to most graduate majors
  • Award amount: $5,000
  • Countries eligible: Czech Republic, France, Poland

GTOS Scholarship

  • Open to all graduate and undergraduate majors
  • $2000 available

German UAS7/DAAD Study and Internship Program Scholarship

  • Open to most majors
  • Awarded during the 6 months of university study
  • Internship possibility
  • Country eligible: Germany

FIPSE Grant

  • US Department of Education Funding under the FIPSE Grant
  • Open for undergraduates in engineering
  • $4,000 scholarship
  • $1,000 for Portuguese language training

Freeman Asia Scholarship

  • Open to most undergraduate majors
  • Award range: $2,000 - $7,000
  • Need-based funding
  • Encourages students to explore East and Southeast Asia

IES Needed - Based or Merit Scholarship

  • Open to all graduate and undergraduate majors
  • Award range: $1,500 - $ 3,000
  • Countries eligible: Europe, New Zealand, Japan, Ecuador

Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO)

  • Open to all international students in Japan
  • Open to most majors
  • Financial aid for housing and medical expenses

Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Scholarship

  • Open to all undergraduate majors
  • Must have grade point average of 3.5 or higher
  • Award amount: $1,000
