Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program

Named after the fallen Challenger Space Shuttle astronaut, Dr. Ronald McNair and funded by the Department of Education, the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University McNair Scholars Program is an academic advancement program aimed at students whose parents did not earn university degrees and students who belong to ethnic groups that are underrepresented in graduate education. This program provides students with:

  • Graduate school preparation through seminars and mentoring
  • Faculty mentoring throughout the program
  • Research fellowships with stipends
  • Stipends to offset tuition and living expenses
  • Skills-building workshops and seminars
  • Career and academic counseling
  • Individualized tutoring
  • Social and Cultural Activities
