Graduate Degrees Offered at the Daytona Beach Campus

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Accelerated MBA
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Accelerated MBA degree program is designed to emphasize the application of modern management concepts, methods, and tools to the challenges of aviation and general business.
Bachelor of Science in Communication and Accelerated MBA
With a curriculum tailored toward the aviation/aerospace industry, the communication program at Embry-Riddle is unique. Not only will you learn the editing, design, and linguistic skills common to all communication professionals, you will also master specific genres such as feature writing and crisis communication. Our graduates are poised to assume roles in the areas of public relations, reporting and information management, with skills specially suited to the dynamic field of aviation and aerospace.
Master of Aerospace Engineering
The MAE provides formal advanced study, preparing students for careers in the aerospace industry and in research and development. The program is planned to augment the individual student’s engineering and science background with adequate depth in areas of aeroacoustics, nondestructive testing, aerodynamics, design and optimization, propulsion, aerospace structures, composites, computational fluid dynamics, or other areas of aerospace engineering.
Master of Business Administration in Aviation Management
In the Master of Business Administration program, you will learn to use modern management concepts, methods, and tools in organizations in aviation and other industries. You will gain an understanding of the unique characteristics of the aviation industry and the management principles underlying all business.
Master of Business Administration - Residential
The Master of Business Administration degree program is designed to emphasize the application of modern management concepts, methods, and tools to the challenges of aviation and general business. The special intricacies of aviation are woven into a strong, traditional business foundation and examined in greater detail through a wide variety of specified electives.
Master of Science in Aeronautics
The Master of Science in Aeronautics (MSA) degree program is designed to provide the aviation/aerospace professional with a rigorous academic approach to a generalist education oriented degree. It provides an unequaled opportunity for flight crew members, air traffic control personnel, flight operations specialists, industry technical representatives, and aviation educators to enhance their knowledge and pursue additional career opportunities.
Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering
The Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering (MSAE) and the Master of Aerospace Engineering (MAE) provide formal advanced study, preparing students for careers in the aerospace industry and in research and development. Both degree programs are planned to augment the individual student’s engineering and science background with adequate depth in areas of aeroacoustics, nondestructive testing, aerodynamics, design and optimization, propulsion, aerospace structures, composites, computational fluid dynamics, or other areas of aerospace engineering.
Master of Science in Aviation Finance
This degree is for those students wishing to pursue a dedicated curriculum in the field of aviation finance. Graduates possess the required knowledge of the operational conditions of the global air transport industry, along with the financial expertise and analytical skills to assist in managing the fiscal risk, monetary policies and economic strategies used by commercial firms and regulatory organizations.
Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering
It is surprising to many to find out that large aerospace companies—like Boeing and Lockheed and Northrop Grumman—employ more electrical, computer, software, and systems engineers than they do aerospace engineers. But with contemporary reliance on embedded control systems to implement flight control systems and to enable aircraft to work within the National Airspace System, it should be no surprise. The Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering prepares students for advanced careers in the aerospace industry and other industries.
Master of Science in Engineering Physics
Our Master of Science in Engineering Physics program (Space Science) specifically emphasizes scientific instrumentation, applied optics, remote sensing, spacecraft subsystems (such as power, attitude and thermal control), and a wide variety of topics in space science and engineering. This program is heavily research-oriented, covering areas such as experimental programs with satellite systems, sounding rockets, ground-based remote-sensing experiments, and a parallel program of theoretical studies in many areas.
Master of Science in Human Factors and Systems
The Master of Science degree in Human Factors and Systems has two distinct tracks. Choose human factors to learn the techniques of human factors research OR systems, to learn the systematic approach in designing machines, tasks, systems, and workplaces. These programs are designed meet the highest academic rigors (full preparation for doctoral- level studies), while at the same time preparing the students for immediate employment in real-world, cost-sensitive, and operationally driven aviation/aerospace environments.
Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
The Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) program provides students with advanced study in engineering with a specialization in Electro-Mechanical Systems. Students are prepared to design and implement electro-mechanical systems to fulfill the needs of a wide range of industries, including aerospace, aviation, automotive, and energy systems.
Master of Science in Software Engineering
The Master of Software Engineering (MSE) degree program is designed to give recent college graduates, or college graduates who have had several years of professional life, an opportunity to enhance their careers and work on the cutting-edge of modern software development. Software engineers who complete the program can rapidly assume positions of substantial responsibility in a software development organization.
Master of Science in Unmanned Autonomous Systems Engineering
The Master of Science in Unmanned and Autonomous Systems Engineering (MSUASE) is one of the first and one of the few such programs to offer study in the engineering of unmanned and autonomous systems. The program prepares its graduates to work in an emerging industry that designs, develops and supports systems that operate along a spectrum of autonomy, from those remotely controlled through decreasing human interaction to full autonomy. Its emphasis is on developing engineers with a strong interdisciplinary background in current and evolving engineering practices for unmanned and autonomous systems.
