Advising Center

Welcome! The COE Advising Center is here to guide engineering undergraduates on their academic path. We serve current and returning students from the time they complete their Freshman Engineering Program requirements through graduation.

The Mission of the COE Advising Center is to partner with students to help facilitate the most effective path to degree completion. We will provide advisement by assisting students in understanding the nature, purpose, and potential of higher education. We seek to create a common place where students are invited to come to receive assistance with academic planning.

Our Values:

We expect that our students, faculty and staff share and demonstrate the values of student success, a positive learning environment and mind-set, safety first in all situations, personal growth, integrity, honesty, trust, diversity, open communication, teamwork, character, change for progress, fiscal soundness, healthy investments, and a can-do attitude.

Our Goals:

  • Understand and communicate the mission, curriculum, and academic policies of the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University College of Engineering.
  • Build partnerships with students as a means of support during their undergraduate career.
  • Serve as the first step ombudsman for students.
  • Support the development of educational plans consistent with the interests, abilities, and career goals of our engineering undergraduates.

Our Practice:

  • We serve all Sophomore, Junior and Senior level Aerospace, Mechanical, and Still Exploring Engineering undergraduates.
  • We are located on the first floor of the Lehman Building in Engineering Fundamentals, we advise through drop-ins, by appointment, via phone and email.
  • We offer guidance with regard to academic planning, the declaration of specializations and minors, educational opportunities, and campus resources that support academic success.
