As today's aircraft are more technologically advanced and reliant upon digital and electronic components, aircraft manufacturers, airlines, contractors, FBOs, and other potential employers desire mechanics who have both aircraft maintenance and avionics skills and knowledge.
At Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, we understand the value of a well-rounded technician and offer the Avionics Line Maintenance minor. It covers the installation, troubleshooting, and test equipment for advanced avionics systems. This industry-recognized certification can be completed in one additional semester to the Airframe and Powerplant courses, earning you a distinct advantage as you enter the workforce. Upon completion of the ALM courses, you can earn your FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License.
