Research
Research is a primary focus of the College of Engineering. Our faculty performs research in all fields related to aviation and aerospace, as well as a wide variety of related interests, including clean energy, robotics, artificial intelligence, software process, model-based verification, simulation, and propulsion.
Our students, both undergraduate and graduate, are an important component in the research process. In addition to specific undergraduate research projects, performed in the classroom or under the supervision of a faculty mentor as a special topic, students are frequently employed by faculty to assist in their research efforts for a variety of tasks, including taking measurements, testing, and even reporting.
External research funding for the College of Engineering is increasing at an exponential rate, as are the opportunities for research. With state-of-the-art research equipment, ample laboratory space, and some of the leading engineering minds from industry and academia, the College of Engineering provides an excellent environment for research and innovation.
