Scholarships, Jobs, and Other Opportunities
The Department of Electrical, Computer, Software, and Systems Engineering strives to connect students with career building opportunities from working in department labs to facilitating hiring as interns in industry.
Scholarships
The department currently offers the following scholarships to exceptional students:
Boston Scientific Excellence in Software Engineering Scholarship
The generosity of Boston Scientific Corporation makes it possible for us to offer multiple scholarships for students in our Master of Software Engineering program, in some cases up to full-tuition with a generous stipend. All students admitted to the program are automatically considered for this scholarship.
Graduate Teaching Assistantships
The department hires a number of graduate students from both the Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Master of Software Engineering programs to serve as teaching assistants in department-offered courses. Applications for fall openings are accepted in the second half of the spring semester, and applications for spring openings are accepted in the second half of the fall semester.
Graduate Research Assistantships
Department faculty members with funded research projects are sometimes able to support graduate students in the form of hourly employment, stipend, and/or tuition waiver. Consult with individual department faculty members regarding opportunities.
Undergraduate Lab Assistantships
The department hires a number of students from the undergraduate electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, and computer science programs to assist with delivery of instructional labs. Consult with individual instructors or Professor Behi, the Associate Chair, regarding opportunities.
Undergraduate Research Assistantships
Department faculty members with funded research projects are sometimes able to hire undergraduate students on an hourly basis. Consult with individual department faculty members regarding opportunities.
