Internships and Co-Ops

The Civil Engineering Program encourages all students to seek valuable industry experience by participating in an Internship or Co-Operative Education program. The Department maintains contacts with local engineering firms to help establish a Co-Op position and the university has a Co-Op office available, as well.
Many upper-level students work engineering jobs during the summer break. These jobs can be setup as a Co-Operative educational experience so that the student receives college credit along with a paycheck. The Civil Engineering curriculum allows three technical elective credits to be earned for each full summer of Co-Op experience, up to a maximum of six credits.
For further information, contact the ERAU Co-Operative Education Department or see the Civil Engineering Program administrator.
