Dawna L. Rhoades, Ph.D.
Dr. Rhoades received a Ph.D. in management from the University of Houston and a master in Public Administration with a specialization in Environmental Policy and Natural Resource Management from the University of Washington. In addition to serving as the director of the CBTR, she is the associate dean for Research and Graduate Studies and a professor of management in the College of Business at Embry-Riddle. Her research interests include strategic alliances, regional carrier strategy, service and safety quality at airlines and airports, intermodal transportation, and sustainable transportation. Her work has appeared in such journals as the Journal of Air Transport Management; the Journal of Air Transport World Wide; the Journal of Transportation Management; the Journal of Managerial Issues; Managing Service Quality; World Review of Science, Technology, and Sustainable Development; and the Handbook of Airline Strategy. She is the author of Evolution of International Aviation: Phoenix Rising, now in its second edition, and the editor of the World Review of Intermodal Transportation Research.
