SAE/IEEE hybrid car development

Michael Kuss serves as the electrical systems manager for the SAE/IEEE hybrid car development team.

The students of the College of Arts & Sciences are provided numerous opportunities to participate in projects through:

Aside from valuable hands-on learning and acquiring a better awareness of the responsibilities and duties pertaining to industry roles, some added benefits for students include:

  • Opportunities to attend national conferences
  • Student research assistants receive income
  • Strengthening students' credentials in the job market

Recent Projects

Each year, a team of Communication students is assembled to write, design and edit various newsletters for the College of Arts & Sciences. The students produce Fall and Spring semester newsletters for:

  • The College of Arts & Sciences
  • The Department of Human Factors
  • The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • The Department of Mathematics
  • The Department of Physical Sciences

The students work closely with department faculty and staff liaisons for prospective newsletter material and material for the departmental web sites.

The newsletter program, devised by Dean William Grams, reflects an initiative encouraging Communication students to gain valuable experience while also contributing to the college, university and community.
