Physical Education
A physical education course (PE195) designed to develop an appreciation and interest in lifetime fitness activity and an understanding of the physical, psychological and social benefits of participation in various fitness activities. This course is primarily designed to acquaint the student with a basic understanding of the concepts pertaining to aerobic physical fitness activities. PE 195 also serves to present guidelines for safe and effective exercise programs as well as increasing the participants’ awareness of the benefits of lifelong physical activity as an integral part of a holistic and balanced lifestyle. Students will also develop an understanding of the proper psychomotor skills required to participate in a variety of sports which include:
- Yoga
- Pilates
- Tennis
- Racquetball
- Golf
- Kickboxing
- Team sports (volleyball, soccer and basketball)
