Computer Lab
The Computer Lab classroom located in Academic Complex Building E 613 has taken the Communication program’s skills courses to a new level through access to specialized programs and ease of individual and collaborative work. Communication digital skills classes – Digital Photography, Environmental Communication, Visual Design, Aviation and Aerospace Communication and Web Design Workshop –now occupy the classroom’s facilities for production of student works as well as instruction using such programs as Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. Writing skills courses such as Technical Report Writing, News Writing and Senior Thesis find the lab’s middle aisle makes hands-on instruction easy, as professors can move from student to student helping with in-class work. In addition, The Net op school computer program allows the instructor to view each student terminal from the podium in front and gain access to that terminal for direct tutoring. The program also allows a student’s work-in-progress to be shown on the large screen in front so the entire class can work together composing and editing.
