- Within the Department of Physical Sciences primary research includes space and upper atmosphere physics, plasma physics, and robotics and control.
- The Department of Mathematics has several areas of research, but one of the main ones relates to turbulence and ocean waves.
- The Department of Human Factors and Systems has research in the bone conduction of sound, human response to stress, virtual environments for remote team-work, human response to motion, and various other psychology related studies.
