Research covers a diverse range of areas across several disciplines in the College of Arts & Sciences at the Daytona Beach campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

  • Within the Department of Physical Sciences, primary research includes space and upper atmosphere physics, plasma physics and robotics and control.
  • The Department of Mathematics has several areas of research, but one of the main ones relates to turbulence and ocean waves.
  • The Department of Human Factors and Systems has research in the bone conduction of sound, human response to stress, virtual environments for remote team-work, human response to motion and various other psychology related studies.
  • In the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, a large and diverse research program covers a broad range of topics of current social interest.
