Evolution of a Companion Website: An Assessment of Online Ancillaries

This paper examines the evolution of a companion website designed to accompany a leading science textbook from the early days of dial-up modems and minimal graphics to the latest high-speed internet connections capable of supporting PowerPoint presentations, animations, and e-text and asks whether student learning is enhanced as a result.
