Opportunities for Veterans

The Aeronautical Science Department offers four separate and distinct opportunities for veterans to develop professional knowledge and skills which are usable in obtaining employment in the aviation industry.

Aeronautical Science Degree (AS):

Our AS degree is designed for the student without an undergraduate degree, who is seeking the world-class professional pilot training offered at Embry-Riddle. The AS degree is our flagship degree, recognized domestically and internationally as the pinnacle in training and education for professional pilots. The degree offers opportunities for specializations in airline flying, or the many other types of commercial aviation piloting positions.

Aeronautics Degree (A):

Our Aeronautics degree allows for maximum transferability of experiential or training credits for veterans whose military occupational specialty was aviation related. This degree provides a generous amount of flexibility of course selection, allowing veterans to “tailor” this degree to their individual needs and goals.

Aviation Maintenance Science Degree (AMS):

See the AMS Department for information regarding opportunities for veterans.
