Key Spaceport Planning and Design Requirements Study

This project (PI, $82K contract) analyzes the effect of spaceport environmental variables associated with commercial spacecraft operations and its effect on commercial and general aviation as related to delays, aircraft mix, economics and overall spaceport operations.

The scope of this study includes TAAM modeling for proposed suborbital flights from Cecil Field (KVQQ) spaceport and its affect on commercial aviation. The key products will include the practical aspects of what defines a spaceport as related to the physical characteristic a spaceport should encompass. Additionally, it will also deal with the economic affects of a spaceport on the local business economy.
