Integrating Space Transportation Research and Development Into a Space-Focused Regional Innovation Cluster

This is study (220K, study contributor) for the Economic Development Administration for a suborbital point-to-point Pathfinder Mission including accident investigation training and space traffic management.

This study uses the Starfighter F-104 supersonic jet aircraft for a round-trip Pathfinder mission between the Kennedy Space Center and Cecil Field a FAA licensed spaceport to mimic a suborbital flight profile and serve as a demonstration and test platform for various technologies, procedures an systems that will be required by the FAA, NASA, Air Force and state agencies for actual suborbital mission in the future.
