Examine the original papers of Senator Mike Monroney

Dr. Margaret Klemm received a Visiting Scholars grant from the Carl Albert Center for Congressional Research & Studies to examine the original papers of Senator Mike Monroney. This research is building on the seminal work by Dr. Redford in the 1960s outlining Senator Monroney’s role in passage of the 1958 Federal Aviation Act. The research has ramifications for current and future congressional legislation as well as underlining the importance of keeping original materials as source documents.
