Eagles Flight Team Places First in Regional Competition

Daytona Beach, FL., November 15, 2011

Last week your Eagles Flight Team decisively won the National Intercollegiate Flying Association’s, Region IX regional competition.  This is the 25th+ year in a row that the Eagles have won the regional competition (Frankly, the records get a little sketchy any further back than 25 years). This year the Eagles flight team outperformed their completion by placing 1st in seven out of nine events. Our name was called so often at the awards banquet that it got a little embarrassing. The university can be proud of the team’s performance on the field of play. These young women and men displayed outstanding character and were exceptional ambassadors of the university. They won the hearts of many.

The team will be wearing their team shirts Wednesday so, please offer them a congratulations and a thank you for upholding the image of the university.
