Purpose
The purpose of the Aeronautical Science Department is to maintain its reputation as an international center of excellence for professional education. Through its academic programs, the department provides the aviation professionals of tomorrow with knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to succeed in the global aviation community. Its faculty mentor students toward making sound academic and career choices.
Philosophy
The department’s educational philosophy is that ethical and responsible behavior- within a culture of safety and professionalism- is imperative for the success of its graduates.

The goal of the department is to maintain global leadership in its academic programs, through a technologically enriched, student-centered environment, enabling learning through collaboration and teamwork.

The intent of the department is to accomplish its mission by:
