Minors of Study within the Aeronautical Science Department
Minors
Minor Courses of Study are academic programs designed to satisfy student’s personal interests, and to meet professional needs. Students explore- in some depth- the offerings in a field of study. A minor course of study provides the student with significant experience in a discipline organized around skills, methodology and subject matter. The following minors are offered in the College of Aviation:
This minor will allow students enrolled in non-Aeronautical Science degree programs an increased exposure to advanced aviation knowledge, by taking a sequence of mostly upper-level Aeronautical Science courses.
The minor in Aviation Law lets students explore various aviation-related legal disciplines.
A minor in Flight opens the door to Flight Training, while majoring in degrees/courses outside the Aeronautical Science Department and degree.
Minor in Flight Test and Simulation
This minor is an interdisciplinary minor which draws on many different major fields of study, with the commonality of aviation as a focal point
Minor in Unmanned  Aircraft Systems Applications
Unmanned aircraft systems are going to revolutionize aviation operations, and the students who complete this minor will be prepared in the administrative, legal and operational aspects of these systems.
