Housing and Residence Life is comprised of full-time, professional staff members that are responsible for overseeing various areas within the department. The professional staff work together to create an engaging on-campus experience for students living in the residence halls.

Residence Life Coordinators

The Residence Life Coordinators (RLCs) are typically entry-level staff with a master's degree in student affairs, higher education, counseling, or a related field. Each RLC manages communities of 400-600 students and are specifically responsible for supervising Resident Advisors, Senior Resident Advisors, advising and mentoring students, responding to campus emergencies, and helping students become academically and socially successful.

Tanner Anthony
Residence Life Coordinator – Adams & Apollo Halls

Tanner joined the Embry-Riddle team in June 2015 and spent the previous two years in New York City as a Residence Director at St. John's University. Alongside of overseeing Adams Hall and Apollo Hall, he manages student conduct for Housing & Residence Life. He attended the University of Central Florida where he earned a Master of Arts ('13), Bachelor of Arts ('11), and Bachelor of Science ('11).

James Devlin
Residence Life Coordinator - Chanute Complex & Doolittle Hall

James joined the Embry-Riddle team in July 2017 returning to his home state of Florida after spending time in Georgia. Previously, James worked at Georgia Southern University as a Graduate Resident Director. It was at Georgia Southern University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Linguistics and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration. James oversees Doolittle Hall and Chanute Complex while working with the eight Living Learning Communities on campus.

Kate Bussell
Residence Life Coordinator – Apollo Hall & Doolittle Hall

Kate joined the Embry-Riddle team in June of 2018, shortly after completing her graduate work at the University of South Carolina. While overseeing Doolittle Hall and Apollo Hall, Kate also advises the Embry-Riddle Resident Student Association (ERRSA). Kate graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. In 2018 she graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Master of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs as well as a Graduate Certificate in Women and Gender Studies.
