Embry-Riddle Daytona Beach TRACON LAb

The TRACON Lab is one of our three Air Traffic Management labs, a highly realistic, automated Air Traffic Control simulation suite, using NexSim, which integrates controller ATC interactions from all ATC domains (tower, terminal, and en route).

The TRACON Lab (terminal) features a RADAR controller and a pseudo pilot workstation connected into a network.

The lab provides the following capabilities:

  • Simulated Air Traffic
  • Simulated RADAR and Non-RADAR Positions (ARTS IIIE, STARS, ARTS color display, DSR/Host, MicroEARTS, etc.) and Tower Positions; Local Controller (LC), Ground Controller (GC) and Flight Data (FD) etc.
  • Computer Simulation of Aircraft and Adjacent Sectors
  • Live Pseudo Pilot Simulation of Aircraft and Adjacent Sectors
  • Simulated Interphone Communications
  • Automatic Scenario Generation
  • Scripted Scenario Creation
  • Training Scenario Recording and Playback
