Terminal Radar Approach Control Lab

The Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) Lab is a realistic simulation of the Class C airspace around Daytona Beach International Airport and the high-density Class B airspace surrounding Orlando International Airport.

The TRACON lab is a real-world environment where our Air Traffic Management students are able to learn and practice the critical, high-workload communications and aircraft-handling skills required during departure, approach, and landing.

The students will gain experience in a real-time ATC environment by monitoring and providing arrival and departure guidance for pseudo-pilots operating the university’s fleet of computer simulators.
